Locklamp shop, uniquely designed task lights for home and office with wall lights to suit any decor.

These lights grew out of collaborations with Nick Grant. Colin and Nick first worked together in 2006 to design and manufacture a range of lighting solutions for the Stirling Sustainability Award winning Upper Twyford Barn for Architects Architype. Over the years they have collaborated on a number of projects and toyed with various ideas for ultimate lamp designs.

Working with passive house engineer Nick Grant Elemental Solutions we have created an exciting new range of lights for the home and office. Recent projects include desk lighting for the Master's House council offices in Ledbury and wall lights that can suit any decor.

OPENING LIGHT MK1

Collaboration with Nick Grant. Our mate George has just built his Passivhaus on the side of a hill in mid Herefordshire. It has a beautiful double height space in the centre for which we were asked to make a light to hang above the dining table.

The idea of a lamp that opens like a flower as it is lowered from the ceiling was put forward. It has tested Nick's engineering knowledge and patience, luckily George was pleased with how it worked.

We were so pleased with the outcome that we developed a production version of the light available in copper and aluminium.

For further information on construction see 'opening light' in "Projects".
