Architype architect Juraj Mikurcik built his Passivhaus on the side of a hill in mid Herefordshire. It has a beautiful double height space in the centre for which we were asked to provide illumination above the dining table.
The notion of a lamp that opens like a flower as it is lowered from the ceiling was suggested. It has tested Nick's engineering knowledge and patience. Happily the outcome has been positive.
The lamp was so well received we are now working on a small production version, Opening Light MK2, available in copper and aluminium.
